Sea Mist House is a 200m² coastal dwelling perched on a headland in Pembrokeshire, facing the prevailing westerly winds. The form is sculptural: a low, aerodynamic profile that allows the wind to pass over and around the building without resistance. Walls are thick — 600mm of rammed earth and hempcrete — providing exceptional thermal mass and a sense of permanence. Windows are few but precisely placed: a tall slot frames the distant lighthouse; a wide panoramic opening captures the sweep of the bay. In winter, the house is a fortress against the storms. In summer, the rammed earth walls release their stored warmth slowly into the cool evening air. It is a house in conversation with its climate.
